~Rancho Vistoso Lake~

This bird was very good at showing off.
Striking different poses as I move in closer.
Clicking my camera, shouting directions,
"A little to the left, raise that beak"
"That perfect, now love the camera"
"Now face the other way, careful don't trip"

Only flying away when our session ended.
And paid with whispered "thank you"!
You must have been a model in a previous life.
But in this life your a Common Grackle.
My Latin friends call you Quiscalus quiscula.
