Winter Crescent

I took this photo of the crescent moon from the ASDA carpark at the Jewel- it turned out quite well.

Winter night skies can be rewarding for seeing bright stars- pity it's so cold. You have to be hardy to be a UK astronomer I suppose. I can remember as a young chap going to see Halley's Comet through the telescope at the Calton Hill observatory on a winter's night- chilly but exciting!
