My wife wanted our family to join the carol singers by the nativity scene display at St Andrew's Square this evening. Unfortunately, nobody seemed to have realised that on the nearby stage there was a full blown gospel choir beefed up by several megawatts of speakers with a similar, but considerably louder, implementation of this idea.

This girl tried to drown them out with her accoustic guitar but gave up during the first song. Still, it gave me an excuse to chat to her. She first thought I was with a newspaper here to report on her choir's accoustic plight, and had to disappoint her that I was just with my family.
