The Vicky

The Victoria Infirmary opened in 1890 and was named after Queen Victoria; permission was granted to display her coat of arms over the entranceway. It has been replaced in 2009 by a new hospital and there seems to be controversy about what to do with the building, with has historic interest. I think it would make great flats.

A rather windy day, but much more pleasant than the last two days as we had some sun. Had lovely coffee and cakes (actually I had a Smoothie) at the Biscuit in Shawlands, with Bob, Cali and Emma. Their cakes are to die for!
