We managed to lock ourselves out of the house in the morning, just as we were planning to leave for the Midlands. After a bit of panic we solved the crisis with the help of our lovely neighbour. Phew.

After the drive up to Abbots Bromley we spent what can only be described as a delightful day at my Uncle Rob and Aunty Chris's house. Aunty C is the best cook ever and their cheese board never disapoints! Heavenly food and lovely company along with a country stroll and roaring log fire all add up to maximum pleasure. And that's even before we get to the whisky tasting :-)
