outside at last

We all needed fresh air today and although as ALL parents know, the kids typically responded with moans and whines when we mentioned a walk - yet of course ended up having a great time!

Walked up through and did a loop around a small village called Clapham in the Yorkshire Dales, picture perfect, with waterfalls and lakes, forests, caves, historic churches, limestone scars set in sun and bracing wind! It felt like winter and dear I say it even like Christmas was coming...

However the best bit was that Sienna walked the whole way with never a moan - as she explained the 'badness was left behind today' and only the goodness came with her on the walk - it truly was like all my Christmases had come at once!
