For the family

Witley Court

A quieter day today with a visit to Witley Court in Worcestershire with D & DeJay, as B was working in Birmingham. The weather was beautiful with blue skies, but very cold.

It is a National Heritage property which is in ruins following a fire in 1937. It is an interesting place with beautiful gardens and a chapel which is intact and in use.

The guide in the chapel was very knowledgeable and chatty. At the end of the conversation, as we were leaving, I mentioned about the stained glass window in the old hospital. Here
She then told us that she had trained at Worcester Royal Infirmary and is a league member, but lives in Wales.

To cut a long story short, she is one of the missing 150+ members on my recently compiled database who we have lost touch with over the years. She gave me her card and I thought was going to hug me!

One down, many more to go!!!!!
What a coincidence that we should have met her this weekend.
