Oban Chocolate - What's Not To Like?
The weather was truly awful, with horizontal drizzle so, after a quick splosh around the field (good thing we'd taken our wellies) we headed into Oban for a cup of hot chocolate with brandy cream in the cafe of the Oban Chocolate Company, which cheered us up.
We watched the chocolatiers creating the next batch of chocolates - they are constantly experimenting and release a new flavour every month and are so popular that they now sell in several visitor outlets too. And, not content with that, they also make wedding cakes.
Suitably restored, we headed back to Connel and off for lunch in Appin, with a very misty view of Castle Stalker.
