Sun for Advent

Advent Sunday. A very windy day but at least we had some sun. Looking much darker now though so we may have some rain when we head out for our Advent Carol Service in the next village.

I considered a photograph of the first advent candle lit in church but I did this last year here so turned to my Poinsettia sitting in the sun.

A friend had a very bad day last Monday and I spent a few hours with her in the afternoon. Later in the week I called with a Poinsettia to cheer her up and couldn't resist treating myself too.

This and the advent carols confirm that the season is nearly with us!
