Copper Mountain
DIGITAL CAMERA
Mr Toad took me on one of our Sunday jaunts around Anglesey, we finished up at Parys Mountain which is near Amlwch, the site of an Ancient copper mine dating back to the Bronze age and it was the largest coppermine in the world in the 19th Century, there are still exploration works going on today.
Due to the high level of copper in the soil hardly anything grows there - giving the landscape a multi coloured and eerie look, it's been used in the past as a location for Science Fiction TV & films.
It was very cold & windy up there so we went & had a nice cosy Sunday lunch in The Pilot Boat Inn nearby.
