Zimtwaffeln

Homemade last night in the special wafflemaker which is only used once a year before Christmas (if I don't borrow it to friends and family).
My electric wafflemaker has six different patterns and the tree with the little birdie is my favorite.
I remember my moms cast-iron wafflemaker - mine is so much easier to use, no doubt.

I don't know if they are common outside of Germany - here you will find them on every Christmas Market and in bakeries.
Cinnamon wafers or cinnamon waffles in English? I don't know.

Their cinnamon scent is everywhere in the rooms today. Very christmassy.
