Robin at large

Rudolph?

Can this be Rudolph? Obviously not as he does not have a red nose. This must be the baby son of Rudolph.

In honour of the festive season I ventured far from Aberdeen. There was a Christmas Fare at Brodie Castle about 80 miles from Aberdeen. I bought some smoked meat at the market, maybe not terribly festive. The interior of the castle was quite festive, maybe a reminder of how it may have looked when still inhabited.

I sometimes think it is a pity these country houses are no longer occupied, and have become museums. Of course if they were still lived in I would not be able to visit them. A contradiction I have to live with.

After quite a long drive from Aberdeen it was lunch time. Hence this picture taken at Brodie in a large shop where we had lunch, a mile or two from the castle.

Rudolph and Santa (the costume anyway) seem to be both for sale. I will wait until the real ones arrive.

Getting very windy here!
