Today I developed the first ever medium format film. It is also the first medium format film I've ever exposed. All frames were correctly exposed and basically nothing went wrong. It seems that he old camera works just fine. Developing it was also without any pain. There is a lot of talk how hard it is to get the medium format film to sprlal but I think it was much easier than 36 frames 35 mm film.

For those who are not familiar with this the film format is 120 and my camera gives 6*6 cm frames. There is no exposure metering, focusing and framing is pretty challenging. The viewfinder shows a mirror image. Therefore the background in this image is not quite what I planned. You need to remember to rewind the film after each exposure. Unlike in most 35 mm SLR cameras the shutter opens even if you haven't. In every way using this kind of camera is slow but great fun.
