Newt near Lake Lagunitas

Some friends took pity on our current carlessness and drove us for a hike in Marin. A lovely lake surrounded by forests full of mushrooms and newts. This newt, rather than trying to hide, strolled up to my camera and struck a pose. For this, he gets to be my blip of the day.
