Exceedingly Good Cakes

Another very grey and wet day with the forecast for strong westerly winds later. Probably a good day for staying in and chilling out.

One of the advantages of youngest son and his girlfriend visiting us for the weekend is that Mrs B has done a baking. It is also the local Christmas Fayre this afternoon, so she has done a load of baking for that as well. The result is I am spoilt for choice of cakes and biscuits to nibble on.

In my view there is nothing nicer than freshly made cake. If its still warm and fresh from the oven so much the better! Anyway this is Mrs B's jam sponge, which as you can see is half finished already.

Thanks to everyone for all those stars and favourites for yesterdays blip. I will try and find subjects other than sunrises!
