Black Friday

Up and out for breakfast early. When jet lag aids an early rise you have to make the most of it. My man has an American breakfast tradition of Huevos Rancheros. So 7.30 am we are stiiting in Ellen's Stardust Diner, a fabulous 50's style diner complete with blue glittery seats and chrome railings. Famous for it's singing waiting staff, breakfast is no exception. Watching then serve and sing at the same time was impressive. The waitress who was harmonising whilst cleaning out the soda machine wins my vote - that's impressive multi tasking. I saw a woman order an English Scone for breakfast and then eat it with a knife and fork. That made me chuckle.

Later on at The Rockerfeller centre we enjoyed stunning views of the island. Such a lovely clear day perfect for it. At Centre the ice rink is up and lights are being put on the tree, hopefully we will see that before we leave. We did see some young lad propose to his girl on the ice rink - Aw so romantic.

MOMA was incredible, the photography was fascinatng and tied in with a book on American photography I had read during my weekend in Northumberland. Some of the contemporary stuff left we wondering but hey it's all art.

My feet ache - I'm off to soak them in the bath before I party any more.
