Small Teasel
The picture yesterday was of the Wild Teasel and today I am featuring the other native species which is less widely distributed. There is a small colony in Aversley Wood, Sawtry, Cambridgeshire. The wood is quite scenic with undulating rides and is on a ridge near the edge of the Fens like the nearby and perhaps better known Monk's Wood. There was a variety of fungi including several species of Funnels.
