A bright spot

A much-needed bright spot in my day..

An expensive part on hubby's motorbike has failed and the repair, together with the service and MOT which are due next month, will probably cost £600. Naturally the 2-year warranty has expired.

The lock on our uPVC back door has jammed - the key will turn but the door remains firmly closed - and the engineer is due out this afternoon. Naturally the 10-year guarantee has expired.

They say that expenses occur in threes, so I snapped a pencil but then got a call from the stonemasons to say that the replacement headstone for my mum's grave will be put in position next Friday, after which we'll need to pay the balance..

At least this rose is free!
