CANAL BRIDGE: Number One, Springs Branch, Skipton

I thought this might be my last chance to blip this bridge in daylight, and at lunch time, when the Heavens opened and scattered the town shoppers with a violent blast of hail, I realised that winter had probably arrived. Though it doesn't seem to have rushed itself. Maybe it's saving up for another white-out winter.

I have become rather fond of this section of the canal path, taking it each morning from the car park towards work, and like the lines of the brickwork, path and steps. Opposite the black railings are a short but steep set of steps to the road bridge, and at its top is where I saw this yesterday. This is Bridge Number One of the Springs Branch. Whilst wondering how many bridges there are over the Leeds-Liverpool canal, I Googled it. Now there's a series which could outlast me!
