The Edinburgh Christmas Market..

Went to the official opening of the Edinburgh Christmas Market tonight, to see the lights being switched on and the fireworks..

Unfortunately due to gale-force winds (do we expect any less from Edinburgh?) the fireworks display was 'curtailed' as it would be too dangerous. In the end, the fireworks were nice, but not worth waiting an hour in the freezing cold for!!

Was very much looking forward to a Mulled Wine to warm my chilly self, but the queues were just ridiculous!! I couldn't believe how many people were crammed in the market! Well, it was the opening night after all.. I think I'll plan another time to go, when all the fuss has died down, to partake in the full experience of the christmas market.. I didn't visit last year, so I have to make the most of it this year!!

In other news, I'm very much looking forward to going home tomorrow evening!!
