Last night, Jeff and I packed up his truck and embarked on our 1,050-mile journey. We made several stops -- the world's biggest truck stop (Walcott, IA), the freedom rock (in rural Iowa, just past Des Moines), the archway, and a grass-fed beef farm (just outside of Loveland, CO) -- before reaching our destination, a cozy cabin smack-dab in the mountains (Estes Park, CO). Upon seeing the beautiful mountains of Colorado, we couldn't help but question why people would want to live in Illinois when there are much better places out there.
