Mistaken identity..........!!

Well i actually thought this was the opposite sex to the Coot i blipped earlier in the week.

Wrong, it's a Moorhen, a cousin to the Coot, both belonging to the Rallidae family.

They're both very common birds, being resident on all the waters i've visited in the last month or so.

I caught this guy over on the wetland area, just off Grange Road here in Gosport.

This little guy's enjoying the warmth from the early morning sunshine.

Not such a little guy........!!
