You're Early! Or Late?

Did a quick yomp up to the Post Office today, and on the way back came across these buds. The mild weather we've had so far this winter really seems to be confusing things.

Then again, all of the trees seem to have lost their leaves in the last couple of days and there's quite a nip in the air - so who knows??!
