More fungi!

. . . masses of them!
I really couldn't do them justice -
in the park where they had been doing a lot of coppicing there was a huge pile of shredded woodland vegetation covered in a blanket of autumn leaves and these small fungi were sprouting up all over the mound.
It made me wonder how they got there - were the spores already in the decaying trees that had been shredded, or had they drifted there on the wind??
Surely they didn't travel up through a 2 foot pile of wood-chip to get to the surface!
