Annie + Anna's last attempt
The day had been slowly starting to peak its face around the corner of the Boathouse, that would mark the occasion of Annie and Anna's last combined stint in the park. Surrounded by trees that were s t i l l orange and a park that was slowly filling up with the usuals, we got to work. Making it up as we went along [as usual] and potentially breaching every health + safety point on our non existent risk assessment, we progressively enabled the installation of some fine looking mirrored birds + a winged bicycle high in the sky. I couldn't have thought of a better closure to end our collaborative efforts in this great park, we even got the regular piss-heads involved at times to help hold our ropey + desperately inadequate ladder. Although outrageously corny, we thought it was apt to get a snap of us with the finished efforts. A nice lady with a dog did the honours, but unfortunately what doesn't feature, is the work we'd done that morning.
Ah well, a memorable record of me gazing at my hero will have to do..
The days are getting more exciting and more milestones seem to be unraveling themselves- I think today was my last day painting in the park- a huge and unbelievable occasion that I marked accordingly by riding my usual laps around the ever reddening lake, trying to imprint the moment to permanently exist in my fond memory storage.
A snuggly cozy dinner with Annie T in our old haunt Trof was brilliantly followed by a jaunt over to Hulme to say a S K O L to my other epic work buddies Fi + Jo. Honestly, I'm not sure what I'd done to deserve such treatment, but I was literally showered with the finest gifts imaginable. I so so hope, that we can come full circle at some point in the future + work together again- the three most inspiring and talented women in Manchester [or maybe the world] and I've had the repeated pleasure of working with them. You will be sorely missed. Yep.
