shiny!

as in, 'that's good' for the 'firefly' fans out there (because when i see the chrysler building in the sun, things are always good), and also as in sparkly metallicness (cos it is sparkly and metallic). probly my fave building in new york, and my fave skyscraper anywhere - there's nothing quite like those art deco motifs and lines to get my attention. also, there's nothing like having a camera in your hand with enough zoom to capture the eagle head 'gargoyles'!

busy day again - three-hour boat trip right round manhattan, a trip to the whitney, watch the sunset in central park and a wander round rockefeller plaza on my way home around 10pm. what can i say? i'm not here often (not since 2000) and i need to make the most of it.
