Last night I watched an episode of Masterchef the Professionals. I applied for it but didn't get past the interview stages. A shame I thought as I reckon I would be in with a chance if I was there.
They asked one of the contestants what she would like from her future. She said she would like her own restaurant and cook British, seasonal and local food. Good luck to you in the winter I thought!

So here we have the ingredients for the strawberry gelato to go with the lemon tart from a few days ago. Very simple, strawberries, water, sugar, cointreau and cream. Blits and churn! Not very seasonal but they are local... to me anyway... the berries were from Holland, very tasty! :-)
