Tangerine

Today I returned to the place in Bracondale Woods where I'd spotted these beautifully coloured fungi yesterday. Having commented on a fellow blipper's journal last week how I only seem to find white or beige 'shrooms, suddenly my luck seems to have changed! I think these are absolutely gorgeous.
By my reckoning they're Flammulina velutipes (Velvet Shank).
The fact that the globules which drip from them is the same colour as the cap just adds to their beauty in my opinion. This shot shows that even better.

From this angle they look a little alien.
