Japanese Maple Lichen

It is another very rainy day here in Oregon...and windy too! It has been raining non-stop with standing water everywhere! Of course there is the usual flood warnings especially in some of the smaller streams. The birds and wildlife have been putting on quite a show, but they are definitely drenched;).

I saw this beautiful lichen on our Japanese maple right outside our bedroom window and loved the color and the detail.
