Under African Skies
When I was young younger, I read the Wilbur Smith books voraciously.
He painted such a vivid picture of Africa, the heat, wildlife, tribal conflict, the bush, the veld and the savannah. I admired the pioneering spirit and the bravery of the heroes.
Today's blip is dedicated to Agnes, the PE teacher at our partner school in Uganda. She returns to Kinyara tomorrow after spending a week in England.
The last time I met her it was in searing 40 degrees heat as she led me down the escarpement of the Rift Valley to Lake Albert.
I was not able to offer her anything so exotic - but she did watch me teach cricket!!
