Shining Path

Down to the yachtie club last night. Much of the business revolves around the bar till. People buy beer - money goes in. People turn up with receipts (like buying diesel) and take money out. At the end of the night, the surplus above the float level gets popped into the safe. And I have the key. I just need to bank the contents along with any cheques that have turned up in the post. Oh, and pay the cleaner, and make sure the Marina money is split out.

I was of course going to do some of that tonight. But when I turned up at work this morning I realised we're on a night out. BYOB. Oh groan. My one night in has just disappeared. And the restaurant is right under one of my favourite bars for an evening dram.
