Let sleeping dogs lie.........

My Scottish Terrier is now 11 years old.

She struggles to walk far but can still chase an odd bird across the garden or come to your feet like a bolt of lightning when you rustle a biscuit packet.

But this is her new bed. You would think that she hasnt slept for YEARS as she now refuses to get off/out of it. As its new and she's arthritic, I have to lift her onto it. She's maybe scared of getting off in case I go out and she can't get back on again. However, this is how you will find her at our house.

If anyone knocks on the door, she will give a little grunt under her breath...from the bed.

If she wants a drink of water...the bowl has to be near so she can drink...from the bed.

We have to leave the door open so she can watch what we're doing..from the bed.

We've even found her a hot water bottle out now so she will NEVER leave it. (No heating in the property hence spoiling her).
