So as I was saying only yesterday, is it not about time that that nice Mr Cave and his Bad Seeds released another album?

That last one seems eons ago. It was pretty outstanding though, so I don't want to rush him to bung out summat that's sub-standard. I'd like to see him again too, the last time he played this town of mine him and his uber-hirsute and sharply-suited group opened up with a monstrously heavy version of this track.

Incidentally, just out of frame on this photograph is a found object. It's a small side plate with roses on it and I spied on it on this dusty old windowsill in an infrequently-used room at work last week. It's the exact same side plate that my parents have a whole dinner service of back home in East Yorkshire. It's the dinner service that was one of their wedding presents back in 1964. And I've never seen it anywhere else apart from at my folks' until now. I'd like to think it was pure coincidence but..cue Twilight Zone theme...
