TV dilemma

I have been thinking a lot recently about the fact that we don't have a TV, only because our old TV stopped working and we were being very lazy and disorganised about replacing it.

Well, we noticed very quickly how our family life was improving without one; especially my relationship with Marcus!!

Anyway, Marcus was chatting to his dad on the phone the other night and he suggested that we are depriving our children in some way by not having a TV. I think he was offering to buy one for us for Xmas. I think also, that we are depriving them when they stay with us which is quite often...... and we do feel bad about this.

Reasons we feel that this house is better off without a TV.
1. The kids can watch programmes on iplayer on the computer if they want to, as can we.
2. There are more hours in the day
3. Marcus and I talk to each other.
4. When I go into my sons room to collect his dirty underwear I come across pictures like this which makes me happy.

So..., the dilemma at the moment is whether to get a new TV or not.......
