The reason I have blipped this is because I am still single and a month from today I shall be the big 40. Yes I shall be in New York, but sadly not with some lovely hunk of a man, but my 14 year old daughter, not quite the same although it will be good to have some girly shpping time.

This is not a "woe betide me" blip, oh no, but my opportunity to put down in writing that I'll actually do something about the situation
