My back garden..... if only

I've been away to Krakow in Poland for the weekend. The trip was the product of cheap easyjet flights out of Newcastle rather than a burning desire to go there.

Oh did i mention that there were another 16 lads with me too? Several of us are celebrating our 40th birthday this year so it was a joint birthday outing.

It was a great weekend away but mainly because of the company ? a great bunch of lads (if a group of 40 year olds can be call lads). Krakow is nothing to write home about. It?s fairly expensive to eat and drink out and the rumors of the 50p pint of beer are greatly exaggerated. To add insult to injury the local beer is dreadful however the local vodka is much better.

Wherever you go in the world it?s always nice to get back home. Saltwell Park feels like my back garden given that I?m there most days with the dog.
