Spartan desert

Last night, I only got 3 hours sleep due to being on call so I didn't feel up to going out in search of a blip, so I decided to try making an image that looked as little like my living room as possible without leaving my living room.

Desert image with heavy gaussian blur displayed full screen on my monitor as a backdrop, my girlfriend's Spartan Halo model on a stack of DVDs to get it the right height.

Dodge the edges in photoshop to make it look like it is lit by the sun behind him and throw on a rendered lens flare, with rendered clouds as a 'darken' layer to add a bit of interest to the foreground and sky.

Job done. Don't view this one large, it is very scrappy!
