Exactly what it says on the tin - not!

I had some important guests to dinner tonight i.e. a talented local footballer, his 'wag' and someone with royal connections. So I bought a frozen lemon meringue pie from W***rose like you do.

I instructions on the box said defrost in the oven on Gas Mk 7 for l5 mins then remove from the oven and let it rest for 25 mins. This all seemed very odd to me but I decided to follow the instructions 'to the letter' - this was the result!!

I shall be paying W***rose a visit tomorrow and they will be paying me a refund!!!
