'Dassie and Meerkat'

Can you believe this friendship? Remarkable!

A cutie little Meerkat or suricate, (Suricata suricatta), sitting on top of the old fallen tree trunk with his very unusual friend, the Dassie Rock Hyrax (Procavia capensis), or Cape Hyrax.

C&R snr captured them right next to the soccer field at Camp Discovery, where they spent the weekend with the newly elected prefects for 2012.

What a special weekend, forever engraved in their memories. They were so impressed by the leadership qualities of the 8 candidates, and they enjoyed getting to know them better! The principal and her husband spent the first half of the weekend with them and the vice-principal and her hubby (A's parents) the last half!

Our beloved little A lovinigit is one of the prefects, sweetie pie! I am so glad I was not there, my heart would have stopped at more than one occasion if I had to witness all the tough things they had to do as part of their team building!!

They'd done a game drive as part of their program and needless to say, some awesome pictures emerged from that! But eisch, that happened yesterday, and I had the hot air baloon pics to publish yesterday, hope you saw that as well!!

For today, these two sweeties won first place!!
