Salmon Roundup

This morning I went to take photos at the NSEA work party on Whatcom Creek in Maritime Heritage Park (the site of the Occupy Bellingham camp). I was late getting there and the work was completed early, so I got very few photos. I tried shooting some photos of salmon in the creek, but didn't get anything worth keeping.

As I was passing the salmon hatchery on my way back to where I'd parked, I saw some workers preparing to move fish from one pond to another. It looked like a bliportunity to me so I waited. The chum salmon were almost ready to spawn and don't look very attractive at that stage in their life cycle, but I still enjoyed seeing them.
