Bubble Mania
This morning was such a dark and dismal start to the day, we decided to have a play session with the dogs after their morning walk. They love to do their little party tricks and obedience routines. After all the hard work of training sessions, Bella loves to throw her 'rags; around, She loves her toys 'to bits,' literally. They are all in tatters within a day of purchase!!! Tyler on the other hand, is more of a 'high flyer.' He loves to nose a balloon around the floor until it bursts. Recently we purchased some doggie bubbles which he also adores. They behave in quite a different way to soap bubbles .They float for longer , stay on surfaces but as this Blip shows, they don't have the same optical properties -no rainbow colours.
Bubbles, being a phenomenom of nature, have always been around, but the sport of playing with bubbles didn't really exist before soap. The Pear Soap Company, in England, was responsible for the 19th century popularization of both soap and bubble blowing. Bubble toys were largely limited to bubble pipes until the middle of the 20th century.
Bubblebath, soap bubbles, bubblewrap, air bubbles, speech bubbles, bubble gum, champagne bubbles. Blowing bubbles, popping bubbles, all great BUBBLE FUN!
