Moremore fish

2years 29days

It's been a busy but brilliant day today!! We met a friend this morning - Katie saw Costa and asked to go for a drink (she wanted the choc from a babyccino, but she drank her drink up too!) and she was very pleased to see her Uncle in the shop too.

She had a really brilliant time at her swimming lesson. All the children were doing lots of very clever things, but none of them when the teacher was asking them! Katie did some fabulous push and glides, straight into the water, completely submerged and kicking along a good distance. She was meant to be sat on the step doing her kicks. They were meant to be floating with their woggles, they all decided to do bridges instead! Her teacher did, however, say to her "come on then Katie, swim to me". And Katie did. Her teacher was most of the distance across the pool from her. They were hilarious this week! I gave her some lunch and she was very soon asleep as we drove to our afternoon out.

We met a friend and took her to The Deep, a big aquarium place in Hull. We've never been before but it was a good afternoon out. She was a bit tentative with some of it first, especialy when she was stood at a tank that was ceiling to floor viewing glass and one of the divers who was feeding and cleaning came right up to the glass and reached out to put her hand up to Katie's on the window. She loved playing in the soft play and spent ages building towers. We went for a drink and icecream in the restaurant as the sun began to set, with a rather nice view over the Humber. Katie then asked to see moremore fish, so we did the whole thing (a bit quicker) again, and she was so much more relaxed. As we went round the second time, we discovered a Polar section we'd missed, including two giant ice walls, which Katie thought were brilliant and spent ages running her hands up and down.

We were then treated to a rather yummy tea at the Handmade Burger Co. before going to get Missy some new jammies as I'd forgotten hers (she needed new ones anyway). She spotted Peppa Pig fleecy onesies. She was not at all impressed when I offered her the pink sheepy normal pack. And yes Peppa Pig did end up as the ones she got - well I got the size she's not quite into yet so they'll last ages!

After a really fabulous day, Katie was very very quickly asleep and is now snuggled up tight, clutching the toy lamb my dad gave me when I was very small, which she has taken everywhere today along with Monkey.
