View from Base Camp.

Not the awe inspiring shot of Everest, which can't be seen from base camp as it's hidden behind the South Col.

But this is the view of the route taken by most climbers. The Khumbu Icefall is in shot and this has to be negotiated to reach Camp 1 further up the mountain.

It was cold at base camp but it didn't stop one member of our party stripping down to his Mankini.
