Skyward
I escaped from the house around mid-afternoon to try to capture today's blip in the last of the light. By the time I got up on to the Downs, aiming for Halnaker windmill, my plans were scuppered by mist and greyness, which I don't yet have the skills to turn to my advantage.
Returning home, I saw this sculpture at the entrance to the Cass Sculpture Park at Goodwood. A work by Phillip King entitled Sun's Roots II, it seemed fitting to photograph this from its roots up, looking skyward, to set off the colours and pay homage to the setting sun.
