Wren
It was great to see Sheffield on Autumnwatch last night, even if they didn't have enough time to show Pete's lunchtime urban safari. They showed a wagtail roost near Hallam uni, kingfishers and grey wagtails on the River Don, the St Georges's peregrine, which was one of my first 50 blips, and a tawny owl in the General Cemetery.
I took this photo of a wren this morning in the small cemetery round the corner from where I live. It was a very nice day again, and as I has a meeting in town, I thought I'd have half an hour in the morning sunshine before I needed to leave.
Off to RSPB Sandwell Valley in the West Midlands tomorrow so hoping for something interesting, maybe even new in the bird line.
