Dutchoak's (not so) Daily

By dutchoak

Hermitage

This is Dutchoak's favourite spot to sit quietly and have a beer and the end of the day, all by himself.
Four mulberry trees in carré, shaped to make a canopy, overshadow a terrace of baked "dikformaat" stone, that is surrounded by a yew hedge.(Yes, I need to prune it!)
Over the years, a vineyard sprang up around it, beech hedges started to appear but never it had the intense use Dutchoak had in mind.
Just during the occasional teenage party it was used by the youngsters to smoke their weed (as if I didn't know)

Now a general neglect creeps in. The leaves aren't cleaned in time, the yew hedge needs pruning and the table (another leftover from Dutchoak's aborted joinery business) needs a new coat of paint.

Still, a great place for a quiet moment.
