My first portrait...

I don't really take photos of people... I'd quite like to do the whole stranger thing but I've not plucked up the courage to ask a random person if I can take their photo. I worry that they'll think I'm some sort of weirdo... so I asked someone I know and there was no resistance! No great surprise! Mind we'd consumed a ridiculous amount of wine when he agreed to be my blip for the day, but given that he's been blip stalking me I think it's fair to say that he'll probably quite like it!

This is 'nice car boss' or at least that's what I call him when I'm talking about him to people who don't know him. Mainly because he had an uber flash car and I convinced him to let me drive him home one night after we'd been to the pub and then take his car home... well strictly speaking I didn't go straight home... I went home when there was no petrol left!! :O) It was a very, very fast car and I loved it! It was stolen recently so I hope his next one is faster and I get a go just to check it measures up!

It took quite a lot of convincing for him to untie the bow-tie... apparently it took him quite a while to actually tie it but I'll be kind and spare you the mental image from the story behind that! I think he looks a bit like Clark Kent, I suspect its the specs and his air of authority. Having said that, he wasn't showing much authority last night other than making us eat dessert without cutlery and burning the end of his nose in the process! I like that he's not such a stuffed shirt that he doesn't know how to behave like a child every now and again!

The night was a success... everything worked really well and I think everyone had a good time. The tiddlywinks were ace and our table managed not to win so we were spared the task of singing in front of the rest of our colleagues. Some others weren't so lucky and I suspect I'm going to have to grovel to some for that after convincing one poor soul that he had to come when he called to cancel! Oops!

The venue is one of the best I've ever been in and if you've never visited the Signet Library you should definitely go. I took a photo from the right angle and popped it into my Blipfolio specially for LadyFindhorn.

So now I'm completely hungover (thankfully I managed to take a pic for Saturday's blip whilst we hung around waiting for a taxi) so today I'm going to nurse my hangover on the sofa and hope that we get a nice day again on Sunday!
