Fungus - again
It's time for a close-up, and once again it's fungus that has won the day. Lots of different types in a small area of the reserve, this being a young common puffball (thanks to a blip contributor for confirming).
After a promising start, the familiar cloud rolled in, but still dry. It may as well rain if it's going to be so dull, we certainly still need a lot more around here to catch up from the drought, which seems to be worst around Northamptonshire a little further south. Very mild for this stage of November, still very few frosty mornings so far (only one around here, I think). The birds are starting to sing as though spring might be on the way. Perhaps they are in for a shock.
