Smoking

Smoking the trees is an old practice here. Fallen leaves from the yard are gathered and burned slowly under a tree (usually fruit trees). The smoke is supposed to get rid of unwanted insects that chew on the leaves and young fruits.

I like how the early morning sun passed thru the thick smoke.
