The Bridge

This bridge at Stirling is a bit like the Scottish Parliament building - the tendency is either to like it or loath it, with not much by way of 'open to be persuaded' in between.

Anyhow, whatever the aesthetics of the design we all at many times in our lives build bridges - some we like, some we don't, and some we are ambivalent about. And we oftentimes maintain them and sometimes destroy them intentionally or unintentionally, and then sometimes rebuild them. I guess the planet is full of bridge engineers! But what of the bridge from this life to what lies beyond ? Now that is a very special bridge which many seek and which unfortunately many probably do not find.

Enough contemplation for this evening - Mrs S has poured a fine whisky so I shall enjoy that and settle back into reading a book.
